College on Promoting Human Rights, Democracy and Diversity at Local Level, from 25 to 29 November 2019, Ifrane, Kingdom of Morocco
The key claim of the Agenda 2030 and the Agenda for Africa 2063 asks for people-centered transformation. This requirement can best achieved through risen awareness for the relevance of human rights implementation at local level; through application of a human rights-based approach (HRBA); as well as through stakeholder cooperation in the implementation of human rights. Respect for diversity and a special focus on gender and children will contribute to the veracity of the claim to “Leave no one behind”.
The purpose of this initiative is to reach out and train participants in the field of Local Governance and respective stakeholders and establish exchange of experience and expertise among participants on how to promote human rights, democracy and diversity at local level.
