As part of promoting and enforcing standards of excellence and quality standards at institutes and targeted training programs for African local and regional authorities, ALGA has the following process:
- In the short and medium term, UCLG-Africa has signed a Partnership Agreement with the International Commission on Accreditation of Education for Public Administration and Training Programs (International Commission on Accreditation of Public Administration Education and Training Programs). (ICAPA), organ attached to the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (AISIA), at the International University of Rabat (IUR) on December 21, 2016;
- In the long term, ALGA will have its own system of accreditation and quality assurance. To this end, the terms of reference have been drawn up and submitted to the ALGA Academic Council.
